fi[x]in for iOS is the complete product. Every other platform is measured against it. The diagnosis runs on your iPhone or iPad — nothing is uploaded to identify the photo, so a diagnosis works the same in a parking garage with no bars as it does on wifi.

Point the camera at the problem, or describe it in words. fi[x]in names the area at fault and, where the photo supports it, the specific issue — marked a strong, possible or low match — with a severity rating and a step-by-step guide. If the fault can make a car, boat, or house unsafe, the result says so and tells you to have it checked before you go further.

Premiere and The One start on Sapphire 4.8 and can switch to Emerald 5.3 or Ruby 3.9; the free plan starts on Sapphire 4.3 and can pick Ruby 3.9. Choose in Settings › Diagnosis Engine, or tap the engine’s name on the Diagnosis screen. fi[x]in comes in nine languages and follows your iPhone’s, and it shows live engine data from a Bluetooth LE OBD-II reader.
