Community
Code of Conduct

Effective: October 18, 2026
Last Updated: October 18, 2026

This Code sets the rules for everyone who posts in the fi[x]in Community, and what AM Solutions, LLC may do when someone breaks them.

1. Scope

This Code applies to everyone who posts or comments in the fi[x]in Community at amsolutions-sea.com/community (the "Community"). The Community is run by AM Solutions, LLC ("AM Solutions", "we", "us").

  • Who it covers. Anyone can read the Community. Posting, commenting and deleting require a signed-in fi[x]in account, so this Code applies to every account holder who does those things, whatever their plan.
  • What it covers. "Posts" in this Code means both discussions (a title and details) and comments on them.
  • Age. Under our Terms of Service, you must be at least 18 years old to have an account, and so to post.
  • How it fits with our other policies. This Code adds to our Terms of Service, Acceptable Use Policy and Privacy Policy; it doesn't replace them. If this Code conflicts with the Terms of Service, the Terms of Service control.
  • Agreement. By posting or commenting, you agree to follow this Code.

2. What we expect

The Community is for people working on their cars, boats and homes to ask questions, share fixes and learn from each other. Everyone who posts is expected to:

  • Be respectful. Disagree with ideas, not people. Everyone here started as a beginner.
  • Stay on topic. Keep posts about repair and maintenance of cars, boats and homes, and about using fi[x]in.
  • Be honest. Say what you know and how you know it. If you're guessing, say so. Don't claim experience, credentials or licenses you don't have.
  • Be helpful. Give enough detail for others to understand the problem: what happened, what you've tried, and what fi[x]in told you. Follow up when your problem is solved so the next person benefits.
  • Think before you post. Posts can't be edited after they're published, and everything you post is public (see Section 6).

3. Repair advice and safety

Advice in the Community comes from other members, is not checked by AM Solutions, and is never a substitute for inspection or service by a licensed professional.

3.1 If you take advice

  • Community posts are general information only. That includes posts marked "AM Solutions". No post is an inspection, a diagnosis of your specific situation, or professional advice.
  • You decide, and you assume the risk. Repairs can cause property damage, serious injury or death, especially work on electrical, gas, structural, brake, fuel or marine systems. Whenever safety may be affected, use a qualified licensed professional.
  • The Community is not for emergencies. If you smell gas or smoke, see sparks, or anyone is in danger, leave the area and call 911 (or your local emergency number). On the water, use VHF channel 16 or your local emergency service.

3.2 If you give advice

  • Put safety first. Point out hazards and say when a job should go to a professional.
  • Be clear about how sure you are, and what your advice is based on ("I did this on my 2015 Civic" is more useful than "this always works").
  • Don't tell anyone how to bypass or disable safety equipment. Examples: airbags, seat belts, brakes, gas shut-off or pressure-relief valves, breakers, GFCI or AFCI protection, smoke or CO detectors, exhaust or flue venting, or boat bilge and fuel-vapor systems.
  • Don't post instructions for illegal modifications. Examples: emissions "delete" kits or defeat devices, odometer rollback, and VIN or hull-identification-number tampering.
  • Don't encourage work the law requires a licensed professional to do where you or the asker live.

4. What's not allowed

Don't post anything that breaks the law, our Terms of Service or our Acceptable Use Policy. In particular, don't post:

  1. Harassment or bullying, including insults, personal attacks, intimidation, or repeatedly targeting someone.
  2. Hate speech: attacks on people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, or any other protected characteristic.
  3. Threats or encouragement of violence or self-harm.
  4. Sexual or obscene content. Any content that sexualizes minors is removed and reported to the authorities.
  5. Dangerous instructions that break Section 3.
  6. Illegal activity, including selling or seeking stolen goods, or help committing a crime or fraud.
  7. False or misleading content, including content you know is false, made-up reviews or experiences, and defamatory statements about people or businesses.
  8. Impersonation of another person, a business, a licensed professional, or AM Solutions staff.
  9. Advertising, spam or solicitation: promoting your business, affiliate or referral codes, asking for paid work, chain posts, or repeated or duplicate posts. You may mention a product, part or shop you used, as long as you aren't paid to and you disclose any connection to it.
  10. Content you don't have the right to share, such as copyrighted repair manuals or guides copied in full, or someone else's trade secrets. Short quotes with the source named are fine.
  11. Personal information (see Section 5).
  12. Links or text meant to cause harm, such as phishing, malware, or attempts to get other members' account details.
  13. Automated or bulk posting, including bots and scripts.
  14. Attempts to get around moderation, such as reposting content we removed or using another account after yours was suspended or terminated.

5. Privacy

Everything in the Community is public, so leave out anything that could identify you or someone else.

  • Don't post personal details, yours or anyone else's: phone numbers, email or street addresses, license plate numbers, full vehicle identification numbers (VINs) or hull identification numbers (HINs), or financial, health or account information. If a part of a VIN matters to your question, post only the characters that do (for example, the model year or engine code).
  • Never post passwords, sign-in or two-factor codes, or access codes. AM Solutions will never ask for them in the Community.
  • Don't post private messages, emails or other private communications without the sender's permission.
  • Your name in the Community is your first name and last initial, taken from the name on your fi[x]in account. Your email address and account ID are not shown. If you change the name on your account, new posts use the new name; earlier posts keep the name they were published with.
  • How we handle your information is described in our Privacy Policy.

6. Your posts

You own what you post, you're responsible for it, and it's public.

  • Ownership and license. You keep ownership of your posts. By posting, you grant AM Solutions a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute your posts, with your Community name, in connection with the Community and our Services. This is in addition to the license in our Terms of Service.
  • Responsibility. You are responsible for what you post, and you confirm that you have the right to post it and that it follows this Code.
  • Public by default. Anyone can read the Community without an account, and search engines and other services may index and copy posts.
  • No editing. Posts can't be edited once they're published. To correct something, add a comment, or delete the post and post it again.
  • Deleting. You can delete your own posts and comments at any time, and deletion is permanent. Deleting a discussion also deletes every comment on it, including other members' comments. Copies made by search engines or other third parties before you delete a post may remain, and we can't remove them.

7. Reporting and enforcement

Report problems by email; we decide what action to take, in our sole discretion.

7.1 Reporting a post

Email help@fixin-support.com with the subject "Community report". Include the link to the discussion, the name and time shown on the post or comment, and what's wrong with it. To report copyright infringement, follow the notice process in Section 12 of our Terms of Service.

If someone is in immediate danger, contact emergency services first.

7.2 What we may do

We aren't obligated to monitor the Community, and we may not see a post until someone reports it. When we find a post that breaks this Code, we may do any of the following, without notice:

  1. Remove the post or comment.
  2. Contact you at the email address on your account.
  3. Suspend or terminate your fi[x]in account. Because one account covers every fi[x]in service, this can affect your access to the fi[x]in apps and fi[x]in Web too.
  4. Report the content to law enforcement where the law requires it or we believe someone is at risk.

We consider how serious the violation is and whether it has happened before. We may act on content that isn't listed in this Code if we reasonably believe it harms the Community or its members.

7.3 If you think we got it wrong

Email help@fixin-support.com within 30 days with the subject "Community appeal" and tell us why. We'll review it, but our decision is final. Removed posts can't be restored, so you may need to post again.

8. Changes and contact

We may update this Code from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top shows when it last changed, and posting after a change means you accept the updated Code.
