fi[x]in Core is on the Microsoft Store. It's the desktop app, a free download for Windows 10 and 11, and it diagnoses photos and plain-English descriptions on the PC itself. It's an early release, built from the same engines, text models and repair guides as the phone apps.

Desktop matters for a specific kind of user: the shop that keeps a machine at the bench, the surveyor writing up a boat, the property manager working through a list of units. Those are long sessions with lots of photos — a phone is the wrong shape for that work.

What Core does at a desk

• — A whole folder of photos at once, worked down as a queue
• — Repair guides that turn into projects: steps, parts, tools and notes to check off
• — Your vehicles and their service manuals, with each car diagnosis pointed at the right page
• — Trouble codes and live data from an OBD-II reader over Bluetooth or USB
• — On-device inference, same as the native mobile apps

Not there yet

A repair history with search and filtering, and printable write-ups for customers, are still to come. There's no Mac download: on a Mac, fi[x]in Web runs in any browser and is the way to use fi[x]in on a big screen.
